Negash Lodge is a privately-owned lodge in Welliso, about 2 hours drive from Addis Ababa (125km on a tarmac road to Welliso, then turn left for 5 minutes down a gravel road).
There are lots of different kinds of rooms. We stayed in Afar – a tukul-like room with a TV and a nice shower, for 600 Ethiopian Birr a night per room. There are three bars – one in a tree, and one by the pool; you can get snacks and pizzas, Ethiopian and western food. The rooms are clean and comfortable. When we went the pool was only about a third full, but you could swim in it and there was a lifeguard.
There were lots of monkeys wandering around, and hyrax in the trees.
