That is amazing! The Gates Foundation will soon be providing more than 1/3 of the world’s funding for malaria research? That’s obviously a striking statement about their generosity and the appallingly low priority the disease has been given in research budgets of governments and corporations til now.
I’ll have to remember to thank all my friends who buy Microsoft products. (I’m working on a Mac and using Openoffice.)
It is indeed. I am not a great fan of Microsoft, but I am increasingly a fan of Bill Gates (full disclosure: my salary is indirectly paid by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, through their grant to the Center for Global Development.)
